CQ had the pleasure of delivering guitar legend Larry Lucie to his birthday party at WKCR today: he turned 97.
After gigs with Fletcher Henderson, Duke Ellington and Louis Armstrong, Lawrence Lucie went on to play with Coleman Hawkins. That's him on all those Teddy Wilson/Billy Holiday sides.
